It's been almost 2 weeks since my ankle surgery. It is healing well, but I probably have been doing a little too much. Two and a half weeks is a long time to rest! Only 4 more days and I get my stitches out and hopefully start walking!
I've finished my first painting on a larger canvas! All works are going to be 40x50 cm with a floating frame. My wonderful local art supplier, K&M Art and Craft Supplies, has been able to get these in for me. It's still a bit wet, so I can't put the frame on yet.
Painting the larger 'Sunrise at Tapanappa' I had a desire to get a little bit free-er and expressive with my painting. The sky is my usual style, but I used my palette knife for much of the rest of the painting. It was heaps of fun! I was doubting the finish product, but my art critiques (my daughter and husband) assured me that it looked great.
